“Fake news” is a term used to misinform or to deceive the reader or audience. It is used to promote, publicize, and encourage the audience by attracting them to false information. These stories are designed to make people believe in something that is actually false, to buy a certain product, or to visit a certain website. An example of advertising is by using social media as a way to be more interactive with society. KNOCK THE VOTE 2018

This ad discusses the dangers of young people not voting by mocking them. They use reverse psychology to influence us to vote. In Canada when you turn 18, you automatically have the right to vote. Voting is something that should be taken seriously, which is why this ad should not be taken lightly. This leads to older people becoming afraid of what's coming in the future. The older generation is complaining because of the fact that we, the young people, are not aware of the dangers of picking the wrong candidate. For instance, a lot of people ages 18-25 chose Justin Trudeau because of the fact that he was legalizing marijuana. Although his intentions are good, people are abusing and taking advantage of this legalization. Our decisions will affect our country as a whole, and some damages cannot be undone. THE MOST LIKED PHOTO ON INSTAGRAM IS AN EGG NOT CLICKBAIT

On January 4th of 2019, a photo was posted on Instagram with a caption that read, " Let’s set a world record together and get the most liked post on Instagram. Beating the current world record held by Kylie Jenner (18 million)! We got this 🙌". This photo was posted by account "world_record_egg", and the main reason for this account's creation was to surpass Kylie Jenner's record of the most liked photo on Instagram. Instagram photo of the egg (As of May 29, 2019) Instagram users across the world accepted this challenge, and it went viral. The photo then b egan to gain millions of likes and as of right now it currently has 53.4 million likes. This created lots of talk from radio shows, to celebrities commenting about it, to even your local news. As of today, the account holds 8.7 million followers and counting.
